THE ART OF DISCOVERY
Youth Art Exhibit – May 26 – June 11, 2023
In conjunction with the City of Charleston’s Piccolo Spoleto Festival, CDMHC again hosted The Art of Discovery at Circular Congregational Church in downtown Charleston. This powerful event showcased the art of 90 students from Lowcountry artists in grades 4-12. This year we also exhibited the work of some current CDMHC adult patients as well. The exhibit is designed to give a voice to artists as they explore important topics related to mental health, self-discovery, and personal growth. On Saturday, May 27 we officially kicked off the exhibit with a well-attended reception in Upper Lance Hall. Artists, family members, and local patrons enjoyed great food and a chance to view and discuss the art on exhibit. We are looking forward to next year’s event!
